How to Get a CCW   

 

In this comprehensive 3-hour class, we’ll guide you through the entire application process, review CCW laws, and help you determine if you have the right mindset for concealed carry. Topics include selecting the right firearm, effective concealment methods, choosing the best holster, and preparing for the qualification live-fire exercise.

Skills and Drills

 

This is a 2-hour, live-fire class designed to enhance your firearm skills. You'll focus on safe handling practices, improving accuracy, and becoming familiar with using a timer. In this session, you’ll learn how to confidently and safely operate your firearm, building both your skills and confidence.

 

Intro to Red-Dot

 

Ideal for anyone considering a red dot sight for their firearm. Discover expert tips on how to choose the right one and what to look for when making your purchase. Explore our wide selection to find the perfect fit for your needs.

Red-Dot Drills 

 

This course is designed for shooters equipped with a red dot on their firearm, aiming to enhance their skills in quickly acquiring the dot and mastering smooth transitions. Join us for focused drills to elevate your red dot proficiency.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites for enrolling in your courses?

Basic Firearm Safety Course
There are no prerequisites required to enroll in our Basic Firearm Safety Course. However, all participants must be legally eligible to possess and handle firearms.

CCW Renewal – 8-Hour Course
This course can be taken at any time before the expiration date of your current CCW permit.

Do you provide firearms for training or should I bring my own?

We can provide firearms for training purposes in the basic class.  Participants are welcome to bring their own if preferred.

How long does it take to complete the Concealed Carry Certification course?

The Initial CCW class is 16 hours over 2 days.

The Renewal Class is 8 hours in one day.

What are the prerequisites for the CCW Initial 16 hour Course?

Please Read Before Registering

This is not a beginner-level class. You must already be able to safely handle your firearm and demonstrate basic shooting and accuracy skills.

For the CCW Initial 16-Hour Course, you should already be in the application process with the Riverside Sheriff's Department. Once you receive approval from them, you will have 90 days to complete this course.

Payment is required in advance to reserve your spot. Please note that all sales are final—no refunds will be issued for cancellations. However, credit may be applied toward another course.

You should bring the holster you plan to use for concealed carry. If you don’t have one yet, I can assist you with purchasing the right setup, or I may have a loaner available.
